Hello, beautiful bride! I'm Shany Sasson, the designer behind every Lace & Love gown.

I am a third-generation tailor. My grandmother grew up in Algeria under French rule and was an extraordinary seamstress with an eye for romantic, European elegance. After immigrating to Israel she settled in 1950s Tel Aviv, and raised my mother in a home full of fabric, art and music.

I grew up at her feet and learned to sew before I learned to read. My designs still carry the European elegance she taught me, cut now in the soft, breathable fabrics that suit the Mediterranean climate I live in.

The Studio

I founded Lace & Love in 2011, straight out of fashion school and shortly before my own wedding. Planning that wedding opened a world of lace and fabric I had never properly explored, and I have not really left it since.

In the fifteen years since, I have designed for hundreds of brides around the world, and the aesthetic has settled into something soft and romantic that manages to feel current without chasing a trend.

The atelier is small on purpose. Every gown is cut and sewn by hand in Israel — no factory, no rush production, with Standard Size (XS–XL) and Made-to-Measure options. Each dress is made for one specific person.

What Makes Us Different

  • Cut to your measurements — every gown is drafted from your bust, waist, hip, height and hollow-to-hem. No standard sizing, and far less alteration work at the other end.
  • Worldwide shipping — DHL Express or UPS Express, tracked and insured, with duties and taxes prepaid where they are shown at checkout.
  • You talk to the designer — I read every set of measurements and answer every message myself. There is no customer service team between us.
  • Reviews you can go and read — 5.0 on Etsy across 213 verified reviews, and 4.99 here across 191. Both are public and both are tied to real orders.
  • Nothing made before it is ordered — there is no warehouse and no overproduction. Your gown does not exist until you ask for it.

Our Process

  1. Order online — your measurement guide arrives within 24 hours.
  2. Send your measurements — I read every set myself before production begins, and I will write to you if a number looks off against the others.
  3. We sew it — five to six weeks, cut and finished by hand. Veils take one to two weeks.
  4. It arrives — DHL or UPS Express, fully insured, three to seven business days.
