Open Back Wedding Dresses

An open back wedding dress is defined by the cut at the back, which can look quite different from its front neckline. Start with a clear rear photograph and check where the opening ends. Look at the shoulder coverage, closure and any sheer panels too. Transparent lace and lined lace give different levels of coverage.

For an open back with long sheer sleeves and lace cuffs, see Diana in lace and chiffon, which also has a high skirt slit and an optional train. Compare it with the other backs in this collection. If you want more sleeve coverage, browse the long sleeve wedding dresses and check each gown from both the front and back.

Shany Sasson makes the gowns in her atelier in Israel. Choose a standard size or Custom Made. Before requesting a deeper or higher back, ask Shany about the changes available for that dress, including how the bodice is supported and lined. Production takes 5-6 weeks, followed by express delivery, usually 3-7 business days; see the shipping details.

Our open back wedding dress guide covers questions to consider before ordering. The made-to-measure guide explains how your measurements are reviewed.
