A destination wedding adds a departure date to your dress timeline. The gown needs to arrive early enough for you to try it on, arrange any alterations and pack it for the journey.
Work through the venue, fit and travel details together. A beach ceremony, a garden wedding abroad and an indoor celebration can need different plans.
1. Check the venue and the gown’s construction
Ask about lining, skirt layers and bodice support as well as the outer fabric. Chiffon can create a flowing skirt, while tulle can add volume; neither name guarantees comfort in heat. For sand or outdoor paths, the hem and train matter too.

2. Plan how the dress will travel
Before booking baggage, check the airline’s current rules for garment bags and cabin items. Ask the studio how to pack and care for your chosen model. Bodice structure, lace and embellishments need consideration; a soft skirt can still crease. Compare shapes in the boho wedding dress collection.
3. Leave time to check the fit
Plan a fitting after delivery, before you travel. Wear the intended shoes and underwear, and check the hem while walking and sitting. Leave time to book a local tailor if an adjustment is needed.

4. Confirm delivery and customs terms
Choose a delivery address where you can receive and try on the gown with time to spare. Production and courier transit are separate stages; a transit estimate does not include the weeks needed to make the dress.
Gown production takes 5-6 weeks. Express delivery usually takes 3-7 business days afterwards. Check the shipping information and checkout for your destination. Duties and taxes are prepaid where shown at checkout; local import charges may apply elsewhere.
Delivery to your home before departure can leave more time for a fitting than delivery straight to a hotel. If you need a different arrangement, discuss the address and dates with the studio before ordering.
5. Include the veil in the plan
Consider veil length, attachment and how you want to manage it outdoors. Wind can change how it falls, so practise fitting and removing it. Explore the wedding veils and check the options for the one you choose. Veil preparation takes 1-2 weeks, separate from delivery; confirm the dispatch plan if ordering it with a gown.

Which fabric should I choose for a beach wedding?
Compare the whole gown, including lining, layers, fit and hem length. Chiffon, tulle and lace can all be used in beach wedding dresses, but the fabric name alone does not establish breathability, weight or comfort.
How far ahead should I order?
Work backwards from departure: allow 5-6 weeks for gown production, usually 3-7 business days for express delivery, and additional time for trying on, local alterations and possible delays. Contact Shany before ordering if that leaves little margin.
